Ontario Bridging Participant Assistance Program (OBPAP) Bursary

Program:Open to students in the following Continuing and Professional Studies courses at Sheridan: Business Communications for Cloud Specialists, Business Communications for Human Resource Connections, Human Resource Connections, and Supply Chain Connections courses offered in partnership with ACCES Employment, and the Expressway Cyber Security program offered in partnership with COSTI Employment Services.

Sheridan Continuing Education Bursary

The scholarships, bursaries and awards opportunities listed here are available to:
- Students with a full-time course load, unless the award is specific to Continuing and Professional Studies students.
- Students in programs delivered only at Sheridan. Students enrolled in joint programs (programs offered in partnership with another institution) are not eligible for these awards unless the award specifies that joint programs will be considered.
How to apply for scholarships, bursaries and awards
The General Online Awards Application for Winter 2024 will open on December 15, 2024. The deadline to apply for awards for the Winter 2024 semester is February 4, 2024 unless otherwise specified on the opportunity.

- Additional notes: On January 8, 2020, a Ukrainian airliner crashed near Tehran, Iran. Victims of the crash included 57 Canadians. Among the victims, 34 were employed at or studying in universities and colleges in Ontario. In remembrance of the victims and to commemorate the talent that was lost, Ontario will continue to provide publicly-assisted postsecondary institutions with funding for dedicated scholarships for the 2023–2024 academic year.
Ontario Ukraine Solidarity Scholarship

- Other criteria: Residency status and/or citizenship is not a requirement for eligibility, however a student must be physically present in Ontario to qualify. Must be enrolled in the Winter semester and remain enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in an eligible program during the 2023–2024 academic year. Must demonstrate financial need. Upon determination of financial need, student applications shall be judged based on merit. Selected students must demonstrate merit that may include qualities such as academic achievement, community service, or perseverance of dedication to their education. Other suitable criteria constituting merit may be determined at the discretion of institutions. Merit must be demonstrated through a personal statement that is a mandatory component of the scholarship application.
- Additional notes: In response to the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, on April 6, 2022, the province announced the creation of a $1.9 million Ontario-Ukraine Solidarity Scholarship to support students attending Ontario’s publicly assisted colleges and universities. The scholarship will be awarded to individual students through their college or university based on merit and financial need beginning in September 2022.
